Iva Měřínská: Pinot Gris Qvevri 2020

Pinot Gris fermented in giant Georgian clay amphorae buried in Iva's garden in South Moravia, Czechia. Aromas of dried fruit, gorgonzola, leather, burnt leaves and earth. Goes superb with aged cheeses, lamb or roasted root vegetables. Serve chilled.

Even though Iva grew up running through the vines that belonged to her father, for a long time she thought she didn’t want to be a winemaker. Sometime in her thirties she realised how rewarding winemaking can be. So she went to the viticulture and oenology university program. We're glad she did!
